The WWE release of Troy ‘Two Dimes’ Donovan came as a surprise to many, as he had only recently aligned with Tony D’Angelo and Channing ‘Stacks’ Lorenzo prior to being let go from the company.
The news was later revealed that Donovan had been released due to failing a drug test policy, and that he would likely be re-hired in a year if everything was worked out with him.
He then went on to appear on the next two weeks of NXT TV, as those shows had been pre-recorded prior to his departure, before he was written off TV the following week, with Stacks and Tony throwing him off a bridge.
However, Two Dimes is alive and well after all, as he, once again under the name of Cole Karter, was in action at today’s AEW Dark tapings.
This isn’t Karter’s first appearance for AEW, as he has wrestled matches for them in the past, most notably as the person who faced Anthony Ogogo in his AEW in-ring debut.
