Major Update On Kenny Omega AEW Return

Major Update On Kenny Omega AEW Return AEW

A major update has emerged on Kenny Omega’s injury status, and his return to the ring.

Omega has been out of action since November 2021, dealing with several issues and recovering from multiple surgeries.

Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer previously revealed that there is a ‘major angle’ involving the Young Bucks currently in the works.

Per Fightful Select (subscription required), ‘certain staff’ have been made aware of tentative plans for a Kenny Omega & Young Bucks six-man tag program for AEW All Out in September.

The report noted that this has yet to be confirmed by AEW officials or Omega himself, this is just based on what certain talent and staff have been told. It was pointed out that there have been major adjustments to the AEW Tag Team Championship picture in the past months, as ‘anything could change’ from a creative standpoint.

Omega last wrestled at Full Gear 2021, losing his AEW World Championship to Hangman Page. The current AEW World Champion, CM Punk, is also currently on the shelf due to an injury. You can read the latest update on Punk’s potential return right here.
