Following the “hiatus” announcement for NXT UK yesterday, the futures of some of the brand’s stars remain unclear.
While a whole host of names have been released, and a few have already debuted on NXT 2.0, there are others who have yet to do either.
One of those is Jinny, who for those who don’t know, is the real-life wife of WWE Intercontinental Champion Gunther.
According to Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Jinny is indeed expected to be staying with WWE and moving to the US full-time.
It had already been reported, but Meltzer reiterated that Charlie Dempsey – the real-life son of William Regal – is expected to do the same.
The other names from NXT UK that we currently don’t know the future of – in the sense that they haven’t debuted in the US yet, but also haven’t been released – are:
- Aleah James
- Aoife Valkyrie
- Ilja Dragunov
- Isla Dawn
- Meiko Satomura
- Noam Dar
- Oliver Carter
- Rampage Brown
- Stevie Turner
If you’re in the UK but didn’t manage to get tickets to Clash at the Castle on September 3, WrestleTalk is hosting a watch party at The Joiner on Worship in Shoreditch, London, and we’d love for you to join us! Click here for more details.
