UPDATE – More details have emerged regarding the reported fight, including ‘biting’ and a chair being thrown – full details can be found at this link.
AEW held it’s All Out pay-per-view last night, which saw CM Punk win back the AEW World Championship from Jon Moxley in the main event, before MJF made his AEW return to close out the show.
However, most of the chatter from the show came from the post-show media scrum, primarily from CM Punk’s rant against Colt Cabana, Hangman Adam Page and the executive vice presidents of the company.
The Elite, the EVPs in question, were reportedly ‘hot’ right after Punk left the scrum, with a ‘melee’ taking place according to Dave Meltzer, with Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful claiming that their had been ‘physicality’ between members of the Elite and CM Punk and Ace Steel.
In an update per Steven Muehlhausen of DAZN, there was an altercation between CM Punk and the Young Bucks early Monday, with the Bucks allegedly confronting Punk after his comments on the media scrum.
The report confirms that the altercation did get physical, with Punk throwing punches at at least one member of the Bucks, before a number of people intervened to seperate everyone.
Eddie Kingston was recently suspended for a similar action, throwing punches at Sammy Guevara following their issues with an AEW Rampage promo.
There were reportedly several talents in AEW who believe that the Elite would have threatened to leave the company over the situation.
