After previously announcing their attendance at the event, now AEW has announced there will be exhibition matches at Tokyo Game Show 2022.
AEW Games has announced that in addition to their presence at the Tokyo Game Show 2022 to preview the AEW video game, AEW Fight Forever, there will also be live exhibition matches!
AEW regulars such as Konosuke Takeshita, Maki Itoh and Riho will join AEW staples Christopher Daniels and Michael Nakazawa and other favorites for exhibition matches.
AEW is set to promote their first console game, AEW Fight Forever.
Interestingly the game cover is set to prominently feature numerous currently suspended AEW stars including the centerpiece of the cover art, CM Punk.
CM Punk, Ace Steel, the Young Bucks and Kenny Omega seem to continue to be suspended while an investigation regarding the backstage melee after AEW All Out is apparently on-going.
Left off of the list however, is AEW EVP Kenny Omega who is notably in Japan at the minute having been photographed at Sega as well as sharing a golden reunion with a former tag-team partner.
Omega has not been confirmed as appearing at the event however has been integral to the creation of the game so it would be surely be disappointing if he were not able to attend in a full capacity.
We have an incredible lineup of talent performing at #TGS2022! @THQNordic is hosting @AEW Exhibition Matches on Friday, Saturday and Sunday between 1pm and 4pm JST.
