On last week’s episode of WWE Raw, Seth ‘Freakin’ Rollins came to the ring to open the show, where he said that he was done with Matt Riddle after defeating him at Clash at the Castle, and he was instead focusing on capturing championship gold.
Later in the show, he was confronted by United States Champion Bobby Lashley in the back, with Lashley challenging Rollins to a match on this week’s show.
The United States title encounter between Lashley and Rollins opened up tonight’s episode of Raw, and the two went at it in a great 20 minute match between two of Raw’s top stars.
In the end, Rollins hit a low blow on Lashley while the referee was out, before Matt Riddle ran to the ring, distracting Rollins and allowing Lashley to hit a Spear to retain the title.
