AEW star Saraya had an interesting response when asked who is the face and heel in her feud with Britt Baker.
Since Saraya’s AEW debut at Dynamite Grand Slam on September 21, the former WWE Diva’s Champion has been at odds with Baker.
By the time Saraya revealed that she had been cleared to wrestle, many viewed the former ‘Paige’ as the hero of a feel-good story about her return to the ring.
Recent promos between Saraya and Baker have left some fans scratching their heads, with Baker’s contributions to the promotion highlighted in a way that painted her as the good side.
A Twitter user asked Saraya to clarify the face-heel dynamic ahead of her match with Baker at the Full Gear pay-per-view.
Interestingly, Saraya responded:
“Does it matter?”
AEW has previously executed ‘shades of grey’ storylines, where there’s no ‘right’ star to cheer for, however some have criticised AEW for complicating Saraya’s return.
The popular star’s match at Full Gear will be her first bout since December 2017. She had retired from the ring in April 2018 after suffering a serious neck injury, but was fully cleared for wrestling this year, on October 31.
Saraya’s brother, Zak Knight, has also teased that he will soon join AEW.
