On tonight’s WWE SmackDown, there was a major announcement impacting the future of one of the top titles!
In a backstage segment, WWE authority figure Adam Pearce announced that there would be a tag team tournament to determine who would face the Usos for the SmackDown tag team championships.
Also announced in the segment, a first round match of Sheamus and Drew McIntyre (sure, I guess we’re really going with ‘Banger Bros’, yikes) taking on the Viking Raiders.
Presumably more match ups will be announced as the tournament comes together but with plenty of big SmackDown tag teams to choose from, it could be a great series to see who will face the Usos.
Earlier in the week on WWE Raw, number one contenders were determined for their Tag Team Championship.
Also on SmackDown, an exciting opening match between Braun Strowman and GUNTHER for the Intercontinental Championship.
