A former two-time WWE Women’s Champion has thanked the WWE Universe for their support that led to her Royal Rumble return.
Michelle McCool was signed to WWE in late 2004, remaining with the company until departure in 2011.
She would reappear for the WWE Raw 25 Years Special and appeared in the 2018 Royal Rumble and the 2022 Royal Rumble.
For 2023’s Royal Rumble, she was sitting in the front row with her children when she was announced as entrant number 25.
She would take to social media to reflect on the moment, confirming that she had received a call nine days before the event and it was her fans that had led to that moment.
In the Tweet, McCool said:
“Real talk….thank YOU @WWEUniverse!
“Y’all legit did this and I love you for it!I’ve never felt so loved. Because of y’alls messages to @wwe & @TripleH the last 2 weeks, I got the call…
“9 days before the Rumble(I wasn’t lying when I told y’all I hadn’t gotten the call yet)”
The Ugg boot wearing McCool would last over thirteen minutes in the Women’s Royal Rumble Match.
She would successfully eliminate Tamina before being eliminated herself by Rhea Ripley.
