WWE star Bayley has admitted that facing IWGP Women’s Champion Mercedes Mone at WrestleMania is still her dream match.
Bayley has faced off against the former Sasha Banks on numerous occasions in WWE, with the duo’s two NXT Women’s Championship matches in 2015 regarded by many as two of the best women’s bouts in WWE history.
Speaking on the Masked Man Show. , Bayley noted that she’s willing to wait for Mone to return to WWE to have one more match on the Grandest Stage of them All.
Opening up about her history with Mone, Bayley said:
“Selfishly, that’s my dream Mania matches.
“One of my dream Mania matches was against Lita and I’m going to get to do that this week so, a singles match with Mercedes (Moné) at Mania (has) always been the dream and I think, you know, if I keep doing good here, if I keep making things better, making some changes that needs to be changed and make this match special, she’s a huge fan of moments, like real moments — obviously, she has so many — can show her we could do that and we could do that at Mania.
“I just want her to see that, you know, that things are good. Just one more time. I’ll wait for you. You wanna wait a few years? That’s fine. I’ll wait for you.”
Mone last appeared for WWE in May 2022, before walking out on the promotion.
She returned to the ring in February, defeating KAIRI to win the IWGP Women’s Championship.
With Mone’s current agreement with NJPW coming to an end, there has been a lot of speculation about The CEO’s next move.
