A popular WWE star was pulled from plans for the April 3 edition of Monday Night Raw, fuelling speculation following a recent cryptic tweet.
Per Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful, numerous plans for Monday’s show were changed ahead of the episode airing, as well as during itn thanks to Vince McMahon taking charge.
Sapp noted that two matches to determine potential challengers for the Raw Women’s Championship were scrapped in favour of the Women’s Tag Team Title #1 contender’s match, which saw Liv Morgan & Raquel Rodriguez defeat Dakota Kai & IYO SKY of Damage CTRL.
A new update on Fightful Select (subscription required) has revealed that Bayley was originally set to accompany Damage CTRL to the ring.
It was indicated that it’s unclear why she was pulled from the show.
This particular change has caused a bit of a stir online, following a cryptic tweet Bayley posted after she, SKY and Kai were defeated by Becky Lynch, Trish Stratus & Lita at WrestleMania 39.
Bayley took to social media on April 2 to write:
And sometimes the most romantic love story comes to an end.
Bye
While some have speculated that Bayley was teasing a WWE departure, others have predicted that the former Women’s Champion will soon undergo another character change.
We will continue to provide updates on the situation as they become available.
