While many current AEW stars seemingly don’t like CM Punk or want him to ever return to the company, he does have support from others in the locker room.
AEW star Danhausen, who unfortunately suffered a pectoral tear during the four-way tag title match at AEW Revolution on March 5, revealed a special gesture from Punk during his injury layoff.
Posting to Twitter, Danhausen would show off a ‘holy grail’ collectible Spider-Man comic-book that he had received from Punk following a ‘rough’ month on the sidelines.
I’ve had a rough month with everything going on and a great friend of mine Pepsi Phil surprised me today with my holy grail collectible in an unspeakable act of kindness amongst other suspected unspeakable acts of kindness. He’ll be mad that I posted this. IDC this is my revenge. pic.twitter.com/lxyuZMIi82

Posting below in the comments, Danhausen would also reveal yet another example of Punk and another current AEW star’s kindness towards him, during further times of personal hardship suffered recently.
“One more note, this man has checked on me literally every single day since I got injured and since the loss of my cousin to make sure I’m okay aside from normal friend talk.
So has @Brodyxking (he will bully me).”
Punk’s status in AEW is as uncertain as ever following his Instagram rant in mid-March, in which called out fellow roster members Jon Moxley and Chris Jericho, as well as Dave Meltzer and even Tony Khan.
