Following his ROH TV Title loss to Samoa Joe at last Friday’s Supercard of Honor, it looks like Mark Briscoe may be set for a surprising change of direction, that being an alliance with long-time friend Jay Lethal and his crew of Sonjay Duty, Jeff Jarrett and Satnam Singh.
In a backstage interview from yesterday’s (7 April) Battle of the Belts VI uploaded to AEW’s Twitter, Briscoe was being interviewed by Lexy Nair but would be interrupted by Lethal.
Lethal would point out their lengthy friendship to Briscoe and questioned why they were not on the same side.
This would lead to Lethal extending his hand to Briscoe for a union, which would be accepted, seemingly suggesting a new tag-team could have been formed.
However, after accepting Lethal’s proposal, Jarrett, Dutt and Singh would appear and Briscoe would seemingly question his decision based on his facial expression.
