An AEW star has given advice to his fellow roster members when asked about the growing size of Tony Khan’s company.
Dustin Rhodes joined AEW in 2019 and has gone on to be one of a valued member of the company both in-ring and behind the scenes.
With AEW’s roster recently seeing the addition of Jay White and Komander, Rhodes had advice to fellow roster members as the roster expands in size.
Speaking on Busted Open Radio, Rhodes said:
“We do have a large roster, and not everyone can get on at the same time. But … I had to learn at an early age, and it’s still a work in progress for me, you have to be patient.
“You have to keep pitching your ideas. Not everything is going to stick. You just got to keep throwing it at the wall until something eventually sticks, and keep pushing forward.
“Because if you just get complacent, and you sit there and you just relax back in catering, and you don’t care what’s going on or you don’t try to be positive about putting in some ideas and talking to the right people, then nothing is going to happen.”
With AEW reportedly planning a new television show with CM Punk at the heart of it, there have been rumors of a roster split for AEW, which would spread more talent across Dynamite and the new show.
According to a recent report, the new show could start as soon as June 2023 when AEW returns to Chicago.
Rhodes also discussed the current status of women’s wrestling in AEW saying that it is “thriving”.
