WWE star Damian Priest believes that his match at the Backlash premium live event will be a career highlight.
Following recent onscreen altercations, it was announced that Priest will go one-on-one with rapper Bad Bunny in a street fight at the May 6 pay-per-view.
The event will emanate from the Coliseo de Puerto Rico José Miguel Agrelot in Puerto Rico, the home country of Bad Bunny.
Priest is notably also of Puerto Rican descent and was raised in Dorado, Puerto Rico.
Speaking with El Nuevo Diva, Priest highlighted the importance of the upcoming bout, noting:
“It is an honor. I know the importance of this fight, for the company, for Latinos, for me.
“When I fought in Puerto Rico (2021) it was special and I thought it was going to be one of the most important things in my career.
“Now in Backlash, it will be the most special moment in my career. The world will see us fighting in Puerto Rico. I never thought it was possible.”
Priest and Bad Bunny are reportedly pushing to headline the upcoming Puerto Rico event.
Several other big matches have been announced for the card, with Cody Rhodes set to square off with Brock Lesnar at the event.
