The Rock made a surprise return on this week’s (September 15) episode of WWE SmackDown in Denver, Colorado.
The Rock appeared alongside Pat McAfee on the Pat McAfee Show earlier in the day, before both men appeared in the opening segment of the show alongside Austin Theory.
Today, The Rock took to Twitter to reflect on the segment, where he said the reaction in Denver was among his top 5 in his career, and also praising Austin Theory.
Theory responded to The Rock’s praise, saying:
I’m so grateful and humble that I could give you the loudest crowd reaction of all time. Also I don’t need you to tell me how talented I am I already know that. – Your favorite A-hole #AllDay #AustinTheoryLive
The Rock’s return obviously drew incredible eyes to SmackDown, drawing over 100 million views over WWE’s social media platforms.
The Rock mentioned that a match with Roman Reigns was ‘locked in’ for WrestleMania 39.
