According to the United States Patent & Trademark Office, WWE has filed to trademark a current talent’s new ring name.
On Tuesday (March 12) WWE filed an application with the USPTO to trademark the term “DRAKE MORREAUX”.
Per the report, WWE intends for this trademark to cover use in several categories including “Entertainment services, namely, wrestling exhibitions and performances by a professional wrestler”.
The following description accompanied the filing:
Entertainment services, namely, wrestling exhibitions and performances by a professional wrestler and entertainer rendered and through broadcast media including television and radio, and via the internet or commercial online service; providing wrestling news and information via a global computer network;
Providing information in the fields of sports and entertainment via an online community portal; providing a website in the field of sports entertainment information; fan club services, namely, organizing sporting events in the field of wrestling for wrestling fan club members; organizing social entertainment events for entertainment purposes for wrestling fan club members;
Providing online newsletters in the fields of sports entertainment; online journals, namely blogs, in the field of sports entertainment
Drake Morreaux is the new ring name of NXT star Beau Morris.
Morris recently made a main roster appearance, getting squashed in one minute by the Authors of Pain in a tag-team match with Javier Bernal on the February 16 edition of SmackDown.
