10 Clear Signs That The Attitude Era Is Returning To WWE

9. Halftime Heat

WWE famously presented a match during SuperBowl halftime in 1999 when Mick Foley defeated The Rock in an entertaining empty arena match to capture the WWE Championship. The bout took place at the peak of the Attitude Era, winning WWE plenty of new fans amused by the sheer lunacy of what they were seeing.

This year WWE is bringing back Halftime Heat courtesy of NXT. The promotion will air a live six-man tag team match from the Performance Center which will go out across all of its various platforms during SuperBowl half time.

The match is scheduled to pit Aleister Black, Ricochet and Velveteen Dream against Adam Cole, Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa.

Could this be followed by the return of Sunday Night Heat to one of the Networks WWE is signed with, perhaps taking NXT from the WWE Network to broadcast television? It would certainly not be the worst thing in the world if that were to happen.
