10 Crazy Cage Dives That Left Us Speechless

3. Jeff Hardy – He’s Nuts, It’s True… It’s Damn True

Hardy has had some major insane moments, and as I mentioned before, how do you pick just one or two? Truthfully, he could have a list all to his own.

However, a lot of his most insane jumps have been off of things not named cages. If you take a look at #1 on the video above, you’ll see probably his dumbest jump ever.

What sets this one apart for me is the camera angle and the landing as he hits a perfect Swanton Bomb onto Kurt Angle. Jeff had another few of these but he often breaks his fall with a table or the other guy moves. In this one, landing right on Angle’s chest take perfect precision and trust from both guys. That’s why this one makes the list for me.

2. Ricochet – Mr. 720 Take’s Over

Here is Ricochet doing an easy double moonsault off the cage at NXT Takeover: WarGames II. It’s not number one on my list, but it was a thing of beauty.

However, he barely makes contact with anyone. Danger factor was through the roof. It was actually probably safer that he barely touched anyone. How do you know what part of you is going to hit someone? Guys get broken necks from taking legs across the top of the head and flips to the outside of the ring.

Truth be told, I’m not a big lover of the ‘let’s all stand here holding onto each other so we can choreograph this move’ situation. In this case, I’m not sure why half of the guys even fell down.

But, that doesn’t stop me from appreciating the insanity and courage to even try this. It’s also quite amazing how easy Ricochet makes it look. I think he could have just landed on his feet, to be honest.

1. Kurt Angle – Please Don’t Break Your Neck

This wasn’t a young Kurt Angle. Angle had neck problems and other health problems at this point in his career, with this dive occurring at TNA Lockdown 2010.

Not to mention the fact that he is an incredible in-ring performer, and doesn’t need to pull these kinds of stunts to put on incredible matches. This one makes number one for me because Kurt’s life actually flashed before my eyes while watching this live.

He doesn’t stick the landing… He lands on Ken Anderson’s head. OUCH!! My stomach was in my throat and it seems to take forever for Kurt to fall to the ground.  Angle has always had one of the best moonsaults.

To pull this off with his health problems and live TO tell the tale is what makes this cage dive the most amazing and insane of all time.
