5. Edge
The ‘Rated-R Superstar’ made a hell of a career for himself in the WWE following his debut in 1998. However, some may not know that Edge briefly competed as a jobber for WCW in 1995.
Wrestling as Damon Striker (real winner of a ring name there, not generic at all), Edge competed in two matches for WCW, losing both of them. His first match was against Kevin Sullivan and his second was against Meng with both matches airing on WCW Pro.
Edge has stated that he did not want to work for WCW during this time due to how they were treating wrestlers like Chris Jericho. The cruiserweight division in WCW was not treated seriously despite their immense talent and it caused Edge to return to the independent scene where he continued to wrestle until being signed by the WWF in 1998.
Following his debut Edge would become one of the best tag team wrestlers in WWE history, winning the tag team titles 13 times. Edge would then go on to be one of the best main eventers of the late 2000s, winning the WWE and World Heavyweight Championships a combined 11 times.
