It’s quite clear that this is the culmination of a deeper issue and a contract dispute between MJF and AEW.
The ins and outs of it aren’t exactly clear, but it’s pretty much known that MJF wants more money. There might be a bit more to it than that though.
The question is, is MJF worth just giving whatever he wants. That’s the decision Tony Khan has to make.
One thing that’s for sure is that it seems like the only way to put an end to this whole messy situation.
