In addition to the short comment from Vince in the press release, perhaps he wants to make a bit more of an official spoken address regarding the allegations.
Obviously there’s not really much he can say at this point, but perhaps he wants to elaborate a little more, or just give people the courtesy of hearing him speak a statement rather than just a written one in a press release.
