Saturday, September 26 will be one of the most highly anticipated days of 2026 with All Elite Wrestling holding its All Out pay-per-view, while WWE and AAA will have the Worlds Collide event, both taking place in Chicago.

With all eyes on Chicago, WWE is expected to stack this card with significant names from the main roster to make this one of the star studded events of the year.

WWE AAA Worlds Collide Chicago could prove to be one of the most important events for the company with its attempt to win the day against AEW.

Here are six potential matches to be added to WWE AAA Worlds Collide Chicago.

6. CM Punk (c) vs. Dominik Mysterio – Undisputed WWE Championship

Once WWE announced that the AAA Worlds Collide event would take place in Chicago, many fans expected CM Punk to take part in the PLE.

The Chicago native has been a staple of major shows in Chicago no matter which promotion he has appeared for.

5. Damian Priest & R-Truth (WWE) vs. The War Raiders (Erik & Ivar) (AAA) vs. The MFTs (Tama Tonga & Talla Tonga) – WWE & AAA World Tag Team Championship

Over the past few weeks, The War Raiders have been appearing on Friday Night SmackDown to challenge Damian Priest and R-Truth for the WWE Tag Team Championship.

Wanting to sweeten the pot for the champions, Erik and Ivar offered to put their AAA World Tag Team Title on the line in this bout.

On the July 31 episode of Friday Night SmackDown, The War Raiders faced Priest and Truth in a Title vs. Title match, but this bout went to a no contest and led to The MFTs coming out to lay out both pairs.

4. Kendal Grey (c) vs. Lady Shani – NXT Women’s Championship

Since WWE acquired Lucha Libre AAA in 2025, there have been various crossovers with the NXT brand.

Looking at the WWE NXT roster, there might not be another star on a more meteoric rise than Kendal Grey.

The current NXT Women’s Champion seems in top form and could offer another title bout on the lineup for WWE AAA Worlds Collide Chicago lineup.

Grey defending the NXT Women’s Title against AAA’s Lady Shani would put a spotlight on the women’s division for both brands in a major way on September 26.

Wanting to put an even bigger focus on women’s wrestling, WWE and AAA have the chance to hold a massive 12-woman tag team match.

Back at AAA Noche de Los Grandes 2026, La Catalina teamed with NXT’s Lola Vice and WWE Raw’s Bayley to defeat Los Toxicas in a six-woman tag team match.

With Dominik Mysterio holding the AAA Mega Championship, The Judgment Day have had a presence in the Mexican promotion over the past year.

WWE Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan, Roxanne Perez and Raquel Rodriguez coming to AAA Worlds Collide Chicago to team with Las Toxicas could prove to be an unstoppable force to go against a Catalina-led unit with Vice, Bayley, Sol Ruca, Stephanie Vaquer and Becky Lynch.

Over the past couple of months, Rey Fenix has been active on both WWE and Lucha Libre AAA television, defending the AAA World Cruiserweight Championship.

Whether it be against Mini Vikingo in Mexico or Fraxiom on SmackDown, Fenix has proven to be a fighting champion.

Looking ahead to WWE AAA Worlds Collide Chicago, the company will need to give Fenix an enticing matchup that fans will want to see.

On the August 3 episode of WWE Raw, Lucha Libre AAA General Manager Rey Mysterio approached World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns about a business proposition that he had for him.
