5. Prince Devitt
Debuting in New Japan in 2006, Prince Devitt’s role in the Jr division has become legendary. Along with Ryusuke Taguchi and Minoru, Devitt dominated the Jr tag division holding the titles six times. He also won the BoSJ twice and won the Jr singles title a massive three times during his time in the company.
During his time in the Jr division, he also had bigger ambition to hold the IWGP Jr and Heavyweight titles. He even had a shot against Kazuchika Okada and, despite losing, showcased his dominance as the Jr champion. For many, he was the person who may have inspired Hiromu to have the same dream.
Unlike many names on the list, Prince Devitt’s move to heavyweight came when he moved to WWE and rebranded as Finn Balor. After making the move, Finn Balor became a force to be reckoned with, whether it was on NXT or the main roster. He won titles with a style similar to his Jr days and proved not to judge someone by their size.
