WWE
Chelsea Green currently sits atop the SmackDown women’s division, with the popular star holding the WWE Women’s Championship.
Green is currently preparing for her Crown Jewel Championship match against Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan, which is currently scheduled to take place on November 7.
Despite this, there is no guarantee that Green will even still be WWE Women’s Champion come Crown Jewel, given the fact that she has a confirmed title defense ahead of the show, and other challengers waiting in the wings.
From Hall of Famers to stars currently out of action due to injuries, there are a number of wrestlers who we could see soon hold the blue brand’s top women’s title.
Here are three options for potential WWE Women’s Champions after Chelsea Green.
Nikki Bella
Nikki Bella is one of two stars who could be argued to be the most immediate threat to Chelsea Green’s WWE Women’s Championship reign.
During a backstage segment on the October 16 SmackDown episode, Nikki Bella issued a challenge to Green for a title match on the October 30 episode in two weeks time.
With Nikki remaining in the singles division ahead of Brie Bella’s return from injury, we could see her have one more world title reign before hanging up her boots.
Nikki Bella previously stated that she plans on stepping away from the ring at the end of 2027, so there won’t be too many more opportunities to see her win championship gold.
Tiffany Stratton
If Nikki Bella is not the most immediate threat to Chelsea Green’s title reign, Tiffany Stratton definitely is.
Stratton won the women’s Money in the Bank ladder match on October 10, with the star earning the opportunity to cash in for a championship match at a time of her choosing.
While Stratton is currently on-screen allies with WWE Women’s Champion Chelsea Green, there has been a lot of speculation about a potential betrayal in the coming weeks or months.
Similar to how she cashed in and defeated Nia Jax during her first run as Ms Money in the Bank, we could see Stratton use her briefcase to dethrone the current titleholder.
Rhea Ripley
If Chelsea Green holds onto the title for long enough, we could eventually see a clash between the official WWE Women’s Champion, and the lineal titleholder.
Rhea Ripley won the WWE Women’s Championship from Jade Cargill at WrestleMania 42 in April. With Ripley stepping away from in-ring action in June due to a knee injury, Chelsea Green became interim WWE Women’s Champion at SummerSlam in August.
WWE has since designated Chelsea Green the official WWE Women’s Champion, retroactively marking SummerSlam as the end of Ripley’s reign on the company’s official site.
Once Ripley is cleared to compete, it’d make a lot of sense to see her go after the championship she never lost.
