WWE has confirmed Royal Rumble 2027 for State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, in February. Despite no entrants being announced yet, British fans are flocking to betting sites UK to see who the bookies are backing to win next year’s two Royal Rumble matches.

Based on current booking, Oba Femi is the clear men’s pick, while Rhea Ripley and Jade Cargill have the strongest women’s cases, according to experts.

Royal Rumble 2027 will be the 40th annual event, headlined by the 30-man and 30-woman matches. The winners receive championship match opportunities at WrestleMania 43, so the result is WWE’s first major signpost for next year’s biggest stories.

Oba Femi has the clearest men’s path

Femi has the strongest argument of any men’s contender. He entered the 2026 Royal Rumble at No. 1, eliminated five opponents and lasted 39 minutes and four seconds before Brock Lesnar removed him.

Since then, WWE have presented him as a main-event project rather than a short-term attraction. Femi defeated Lesnar at WrestleMania 42, won King of the Ring 2026, and then beat Lesnar again inside Hell in a Cell at SummerSlam, where Lesnar publicly called him the future of WWE.

A 2027 Rumble win would be the cleanest way to move Femi from protected powerhouse to WrestleMania title challenger. Bron Breakker remains a serious spoiler because of his own heavy push, but Femi’s year has had the stronger long-form build.

Ripley and Cargill top the women’s field

The women’s race is tighter. Rhea Ripley is the safest pick if WWE wants a major comeback story. She beat Jade Cargill for the WWE Women’s Championship at WrestleMania 42, but her injury later forced WWE to introduce an interim title at SummerSlam.

If Ripley is fully clear and outside the title picture by February, the Rumble gives her a direct reset without needing a weekly title shortcut. She also has recent Rumble credibility, having made three eliminations in the 2026 women’s match.

Cargill is the higher-upside alternative. She has already been WWE Women’s Champion, won Queen of the Ring in 2025 and stayed near the top of the SmackDown division after losing to Ripley. Her power-based style also suits a Rumble finish.

The current landscape matters. Liv Morgan won the 2026 women’s Rumble and later regained the Women’s World Championship at Money in the Bank, while Tiffany Stratton holds the women’s Money in the Bank contract. That makes another Morgan Rumble victory less likely and gives Stratton another route to a title match.

WWE’s January European tour should sharpen the picture, with Raw in Glasgow on Monday, 18 January, SmackDown in Manchester on Friday, 22 January, and Raw in Dublin on Monday, 25 January. Those shows are the final major clues before Glendale.
