Drew McIntyre recently fuelled speculation about his WWE return, following almost six months away from the ring.

With the Scottish Warrior filming movies across the globe, reports from the late-summer revealed that McIntyre was back in the US.

Rumors about McIntyre’s return to the ring were fuelled by the former Undisputed WWE Champion himself, who shared a video of himself running the ropes during a training session at at Rusev’s KECH Pro Wrestling Academy.

The Scottish Warrior isn’t the only WWE star who could be set to return to action soon, with several names currently out of action, but potentially being available for a comeback in the next few months.

From injured wrestlers to those who have been out of action for over a year, here are three WWE stars to return soon.

Drew McIntyre

Drew McIntyre most recently stepped into the ring at WrestleMania 42 in April, losing to Jacob Fatu in an Unsanctioned match.

In a recent interview with Bradley Martyn, McIntyre stated that he was originally preparing to return to the ring before receiving an offer to appear in another movie, following his initial absence to film for the Highlander reboot.

McIntyre has filmed for several Hollywood projects in his absence, with the first hitting our screens as early as next week.

With the Undisputed WWE Championship scene being super-populated right now, it will be interesting to see what WWE has in store for the Scottish Warrior following his teased return.

Brie Bella

Brie Bella made her return to wrestling at Royal Rumble, stepping into the ring for the first time in four years.

Following a Women’s Tag Team Championship reign alongside Paige, Brie suffered an injury during six-woman tag-team action at SummerSlam on August 1, breaking her scapula (shoulder blade).

Shortly after this injury, Brie Bella stated that she was expected to be out of action for three to six months.

With two months having elapsed since Bella’s injury, if the Hall of Famer’s recovery is on schedule, we could see her step back into the ring in the coming months.

Naomi

Naomi has been out of action for over a year, last wrestling at SummerSlam on August 3, 2025, against Rhea Ripley and IYO SKY.

The Women’s World Champion relinquished her title on August 18, announcing her pregnancy on this edition of WWE Raw.

With False Finish reporting in late-September that WWE is “currently preparing” for Naomi’s return, there has been a lot of speculation about her comeback, which will reportedly happen “in the near future”.

While many are expecting Naomi to join forces with the Bloodline and be her husband’s faction’s answer for the 946’s Jaida Parker, there are plenty of avenues available for the former champion’s return.
