WWE
WWE has officially announced its two Crown Jewel Championship match, amid uncertainty surrounding this year’s event.
The company is advertising that World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns and Undisputed WWE Champion Sami Zayn will face off to determine the third-ever Men’s Crown Jewel Champion on November 7, with Crown Jewel still being promoted as taking place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
On the women’s side, Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan will attempt to become a two-time Crown Jewel Title holder when she faces WWE Women’s Champion Chelsea Green for the gold.
Despite these matches being announced, there are several stars who could serve as replacements, winning one of the aforemantioned titles to substitute themselves into their respective Crown Jewel Title bout.
From confirmed championship challengers to those who could challenge for gold, here are four WWE stars who could serve as replacements for those currently announced for Crown Jewel Championship matches.
Tiffany Stratton
Tiffany Stratton currently holds the women’s Money in the Bank briefcase, which she won in a ladder match on October 10.
After beating Sol Ruca, Lola Vice, Jacy Jayne, Lash Legend and Roxanne Perez in a race to the top of the ladder, Stratton is now able to cash in for a championship match at a time of her choosing.
Able to call for an impromptu match against the WWE Women’s Champion or Women’s World titleholder, Stratton could technically replace either star if she strikes ahead of Crown Jewel.
While defeating Morgan would allow both Stratton and Green to hold gold, it had been heavily speculated that Stratton will instead cash in on Green, betraying her friend.
Penta
Meanwhile on the men’s side of things, Penta is that division’s Money in the Bank holder, outlasting CM Punk, Kevin Owens, Bron Breakker, Je’Von Evans and Trick Williams to win the briefcase.
With Penta able to cash in for an impromptu title match whenever he wants, both Roman Reigns and Sami Zayn will be looking over their shoulder for the luchador.
“Señor Dinero el el Banco” has already challenged for the World Heavyweight Title this year, coming up short against the OTC on the September 14 Raw episode in Mexico City.
If second time is the charm for Penta ahead of November 7, the luchador would also replace Reigns in the Crown Jewel lineup.
Nikki Bella
The next challenger for the Women’s World Champion appears to be Nikki Bella, who called for a match against Chelsea Green in a segment on the October 16 SmackDown episode.
While Chelsea Green accepted the challenge and proposed for them to face off on next week’s show, Nikki Bella stated that she will be busy on October 23, telling the champion that she will instead see her on October 30.
If Nikki Bella does dethrone Chelsea Green, it will be the Hall of Famer facing Liv Morgan at Crown Jewel to crown the ultimate champion.
Cody Rhodes
Cody Rhodes is the wildcard in all of this, with a recent announcement fuelling speculation about a potential title change.
WWE announced on October 14 that “Undisputed WWE Champion Sami Zayn vs Cody Rhodes” will take place at the October 19 Raw taping.
While this appears set to be a non-televised dark match, WWE announcing this on its main social media accounts, and the graphic indicating that it’ll be for the Undisputed WWE Championship have led to some speculation about Cody Rhodes potentially defeating Sami Zayn for the title.
With Cody Rhodes confirmed to be in the building, the chances of Sami Zayn losing the gold to him in San Diego is low, but not zero…
