2017 Non-Stipulation Match
Breezango (Tyler Breeze and Fandango) defeated The Ascension (Konnor and Viktor)
This match was in the “filler” position, between the two “main events”, which we’ll get to later.
In the weeks prior to this one, Breezango had been attacked by mystery assailants and were on a quest to find out who it was.
Earlier in the night, an episode of ‘Fashion Files’ aired, with the attackers challenging Breezango to a match.
Of course, the culprits were the Ascension, and as they said, the two teams had a match.
It was a pretty boring match, with the sole purpose being to give the crowd a breather, so it did its job in that regard.
Breezango won after about five minutes with Fandango rolling up Konnor for the pin.
In the following months, the Fashion Files continued, but neither team really took off. Breezango’s next pay-per-view appearance came a whole five months later on the Survivor Series KickOff show and the Ascension’s next pay-per-view match was the André the Giant Memorial Battle Royal on the WrestleMania 34 KickOff, nine months after Money in the Bank 2017.
Much like the Hype Bros. and Colóns, none of these four men are scheduled to be a part of this year’s Money in the Bank.
Here are the non-stipulation matches set to take place tomorrow:
- Daniel Bryan vs. Big Cass
- Bobby Lashley vs. Sami Zayn
- Roman Reigns vs. Jinder Mahal
