AEW
The past few weeks in AEW have been a very busy and emotional time for the entire roster.
From AEW All Out 2026 to the passing of PAC to the Grand Slam France shows, it has been a rollercoaster for the stars in the company.
Over the course of the past month, there have been various stars who have been recently added to the injured reserve.
Here are four recently injured AEW stars who have been sidelined.
Christian Cage
At AEW All Out 2026, The Young Bucks defeated Cope and Cage and FTR to win a 3 Way Ladder Match to become the new AEW World Tag Team Champions.
A few weeks after the pay-per-view, Adam Copeland revealed that Christian Cage had suffered a serious ribs injury and a collapsed lung.
Cage has been on the sidelines ever since and it seems like they will be out of action for quite some time.
At 52 years old, these injuries could lead to an early retirement for Christian and may see him losing a lot of time from the promotion.
Anna Jay
During the AEW Redemption post media scrum, Tony Khan announced that Anna Jay will be out of action for a little while.
Recently, Jay revealed that she had a MRI that now requires her undergoing shoulder surgery.
Whether it be for an extended period or not, it means Anna’s absence will be longer than originally expected.
With her return date being unknown, it is a mystery for when Anna Jay may make a comeback to the company.
Jamie Hayter
At the AEW All Out 2026 pay-per-view, The Brawling Birds defeated Divine Dominion in a Chicago Street Fight to retain the AEW Women’s World Tag Team Championships.
Then on the AEW Collision: Grand Slam France special, WrathLander defeated Sisters of Sin and Divine Dominion to become the number one contenders for the AEW Women’s World Tag Team Championships.
Despite earning the shot at the titles, Kris Statlander and Harley Cameron were announced to be challenging The Birds for the titles at WrestleDream 2026.
This match was then removed from the lineup when it was revealed that Jamie Hayter had suffered an injury during the Chicago Street Fight at All Out.
Jay White
At AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door 2026, Jay White made his return to the company.
“Switchblade” had recently teamed with the Bang Bang Gang to pick up a win over The Death Riders and The Dogs in a Tailgate Brawl on the All Out pre-show.
During the course of this contest, White suffered an undisclosed injury that would have sidelined for 1 to 2 months.
Now that he is out of action, it remains to be seen when White will be back in the company.
