Tag-teams from other promotions to reunite in WWE: Three more tandems who could come back together following Penta & Rey Fenix of the Lucha Brothers

Following their recent televised in-ring reunion at AAA Ola De Calor, Penta and Rey Fenix of the Lucha Brothers are now set to wrestle at an upcoming WWE special.

The Lucha Brothers will face Los Perros Del Mal at Worlds Collide this weekend (September 26), in what will be Penta and Fenix’s first televised two-on-two match together under the WWE banner.

With Penta and Fenix reuniting their team, there are a number of other stars who could reintroduce tandems from other companies inside of a WWE ring.

Here are three teams we could soon see reform in WWE.

Kyoki & Naraku

Kyoki and Naraku were teammates in NJPW’s Los Ingobernables de Japon faction, with the duo wrestling alongside each other for three and a half years, following the former “Hiromu Takahashi” joining the group in December 2016.

This particular relationship was highlighted following Naraku leaving the group in July 2020, with the former “EVIL” defending his IWGP Heavyweight and Intercontinental titles against Kyoki at that month’s NJPW Sengoku Lord in Nagoya show.

While the duo mostly stood alongside each other in multi-man tag-team action, their rivalry following Naraku’s exit from the group showed that there was a lot of story to tell about the duo’s personal dynamic.

With Shinsuke Nakamura and Kyoki recently falling victim to the numbers game, with Haku interfering in their clash with The MFTs, we could see Naraku even the odds in the coming weeks.

Ricky Saints & Big Cass

Ahead of joining WWE in February 2025, Ricky Saints’ final match in AEW saw him team with Big Cass – then Big Bill – in a losing effort against Dante & Darius Martin on the March 30, 2024 Collision episode.

Saints and Cass were an established team in AEW prior to this point, with the stars holding the AEW World Tag Team Championship together in early 2024.

With both Saints and Cass now in WWE, we could see this team come together for a reunion at some point down the line.

While Ricky Saints is on SmackDown and Big Cass is on Raw, an official brand transfer could give both of these stars new direction.

Je’Von Evans & Jackson Drake

With Je’Von Evans and Jackson Drake proving away from WWE that they have a lot of chemistry together, the duo are bound to share the ring again eventually, and it’d be cool if it’d be as teammates.

the Raw and Evolve stars are close friends outside of the ring, and previously teamed together as the “Wrestling Prodigies” on the independent scene, up until 2023.

The duo notably wrestled together on the February 28, 2023 AEW Dark episode, teaming with Oliver Sawyer against Satnam Singh, Jay Lethal and Jeff Jarrett.

Shawn Dean previously stated that he had scouted Evans and Drake for AEW after watching them have “the best three minute match” he had ever seen against one another in FSPW.

While the two stars are currently at different stages of their WWE careers, it’d be a full-circle moment to see the close friends stand side by side in WWE.
