23. Chris Jericho vs. Tetsuya Naito – Dominion 6.9
Chris Jericho continued his string of vicious attacks in New Japan when he faced Naito at Dominion. After attacking Naito at Wrestling Dontaku and berating him with explatives, Jericho was set to challenge Naito for his IWGP Intercontinental Championship.
The two wrestled a well-executed brawl. It may as well have been a Street Fight as they battled with chairs and tables. Jericho and Naito had instant chemistry, which we will see more of when the two clash again at Wrestle Kingdom 13. Jericho would hit a low blow on Naito and deliver a Codebreaker to win the Intercontinental title and cap off a great melee.
