On the April 28 edition of WWE NXT, Mason Rook made his debut with the company by attacking Tony D’Angelo.

Since then, Rook has been established as a force to be reckoned with and someone who is being built as a tank on the roster.

Rook seems poised for big things in the company and it might be better to start now than later.

Here are seven potential WWE future plans for Mason Rook.

7. Babyface Turn

When the man formerly known as Will Kroos debuted in WWE, it looked like the company might present him as a heel on the NXT brand.

Despite his original presentation, the fans immediately took to Mason Rook with the signature chant from his time on the independent scene.

With fans ready to chant, “he’s big, he’s bad, he’ll bodyslam your dad,” it seems like a no-brainer for WWE to make Rook a babyface.

Rook turning babyface would make for the right dynamic to present the newest NXT star who could garner a ton of momentum moving forward.

6. Feud With Kam Hendrix

On the May 19 episode of WWE NXT, Mason Rook and Kam Hendrix defeated Tony D’Angelo and Myles Borne.

This bout saw Hendrix steal the pinfall victory from Rook after he did all the work for their team.

Later in the show, Hendrix trash talked Rook, which led to the big man delivering his cannonball in the corner on his former tag team partner.

Rook feuding with Hendrix to further position him as a babyface might be the best way to get over both stars at the same time on NXT.

5. Help Myles Borne & Tavion Heights In Their Feud With DarkState

On the May 19 edition of WWE NXT, DarkState turned on Saquon Shugars with a three-on-one beatdown.

Then on the May 26 NXT, DarkState jumped Myles Borne and Tavion Heights in a show of unity to this new version of the stable.

This may lead to the former NQCC members needing some backup, bringing them to Mason Rook.

To even the odds with DarkState, Rook could keep himself close to the North American Champion by providing backup for Borne against Dion Lennox, Cutler James and Osiris Griffin.

4. Challenge Myles Borne For The NXT North American Championship

Speaking of Myles Borne, Mason Rook has made it clear that he is after championship gold now that he’s on WWE NXT.

Borne has proven himself to be a fighting champion since capturing the NXT North American Title.

After scoring a win in tag team action over Borne, Rook could find himself in contention for a shot at the North American gold.

Using his size and uncanny athleticism, Rook might be the toughest test of Borne’s entire title reign.

3. Showdown With Keanu Carver

Mason Rook is looking to establish himself as the top big man in WWE NXT right now, but there might be other contenders for that throne.

Since the start of 2026, NXT has undergone some massive changes in regards to new stars emerging.

One of those newer stars on the brand has been Keanu Carver who has proven himself to be an unstoppable force.

Rook challenging Carver to a battle of the behemoths would determine who is the best big man in all of NXT right now.

2. Capture The NXT Championship

When Mason Rook made his WWE NXT debut on April 28, it came as a result of an out of nowhere attack on NXT Champion Tony D’Angelo.

Since then, Rook has made it crystal clear that he has his sights on becoming a champion on the brand.

After scoring a victory in tag team competition over the NXT Champion, Rook might have put himself in line for a shot at D’Angelo.

Rook rising to the top of the brand and defeating Tony D for the NXT Championship would be the fastest and most effective way for WWE to place him in the upper echelon immediately.

1. Win The John Cena Classic

After making his WWE debut in April, one of the first stars who stated that they viewed Mason Rook as a future name to keep their eyes on is John Cena.

Dating back to his time on the indies, Cena has been impressed with Rook’s size and presence.

With Cena’s past posts praising Rook, this could be the best way to bring the newest NXT talent to superstardom.

Rook competing and winning the John Cena Classic would certainly do the trick in cementing himself as a future top star that fans will become enamored with before long.
