It has emerged that Pete Dunne (Rayo Americano) was the producer for the El Grande Americano mask vs mask match at WWE AAA Noche De Los Grandes.

The match, which took place Saturday night between El Grande Americano (Ludwig Kaiser) and The Original El Grande Americano (Chad Gable) has drawn heaps of praise from fans and critics, labelling it as one of the best wrestling presentations in recent memory.

The match featured outside interference from others who have been involved in the storyline, including the Creed Brothers, Los Americanos, Pimpinela Escarlata and Andrea Bazarte.

One of those names – Rayo Americano, otherwise known as Pete Dunne – also had a bigger role as an unsung hero of the match, as he was reportedly the producer assigned to the bout.

Someone who hasn’t been credited for the El Grande Americano vs. Original Grande Americano feud at #AAANocheDeLosGrandes is Pete Dunne, who was the producer of that match.

In addition to his ongoing in-ring work, Dunne had started working a producer in WWE a couple of years ago and has been one of the main producers in AAA since WWE’s acquisition of the brand just over a year ago.

The role of the producer in a WWE match is to work with the talents to help put the match together, liaising between the talent and creative teams to make sure all of their goals are accomplished.

The match producer also makes sure the TV production team is up to speed on what’s happening and about to happen in the match, so camera angles and other production elements all go smoothly.

It’s become widely known that the main heads of AAA creative and the direction of the brand right now are The Undertaker and Jeremy Borash.
