The Road to WrestleMania has now passed its final pitstop with the Elimination Chamber now in the books.
With four matches official for the Grandest Stage of Them All thus far, fans will have begun theorising what the rest of the card will look like come April 6 & 7.
Despite the stars of today being the focus in Philadelphia, it’s about time we shifted our attention to the less talked about event that makes up WrestleMania weekend – the 2024 WWE Hall of Fame.
While some would be forgiven for thinking there’s not many legends left to be inducted, that really couldn’t be further from the truth with so many glaring omissions yet to get their HOF rings.
So in this list we look at the seven most likely candidates for this year’s class. Now seven is more than usual in a single year, but this is the Triple H era now so maybe he’ll go big, who knows? Firstly though we must start with an honourable mention…
Honorable Mention: Batista
Poor Dave, there seems to just be no good time for him to finally take his place where he belongs in the WWE Hall of Fame.
Initially announced to be the headliner for the 2020 class; a year following his in-ring retirement, The Animal, and every other inductee’s moment in the sun was delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
However, while every other name took their rightful spot the following year in 2021, Batista was glaringly absent.
Then 2022 passed… And 2023 passed and all seemed good to go, yet Batista’s Hollywood responsibilities stood in the way. So will 2024 finally be the year?
It certainly could be if Batista’s schedule allows it, however, with Batista’s status as a first-ballot pick I feel that may be in jeopardy as there really is only one choice for that headline spot this year… Something which we will get into a bit later on.
