WWE
This Saturday will see the most anticipated match in AAA since WWE acquired the promotion in April 2025, when El Grande Americano and “Original” El Grande Americano square off in a Mask vs. Mask Match.
While it was Chad Gable who first introduced the El Grande Americano character, Ludwig Kaiser has truly made it his own and taken it to new heights – leading to him being considered the favorite to retain the character beyond this Saturday’s Noche de Los Grandes event.
With Tyler Bate and Pete Dunne gaining a new lease of life in WWE as Bravo and Rayo Americano, we could potentially see El Grande Americano recruit more new luchadors to his faction after this Saturday.
Here are six WWE stars to potentially join El Grande Americano & Los Americanos.
6. Noam Dar
While some fans will decry WWE repackaging Tyler Bate & Pete Dunne as Los Americanos, it did allow two of the company’s most talented wrestlers to gain a regular spot on TV, something they were struggling to get beforehand.
While they now proudly represent Mexico and lucha libre, there is an underlying European theme within Los Americanos: with Ludwig Kaiser, Bate & Dunne all former NXT UK alum.
Another European star in need of a change of direction in WWE is Noam Dar, who recently returned to action on NXT following an injury layoff which saw him miss almost a full year of action.
Dar has been in the NXT system for quite some time, and a repackaging as the fourth member of El Grande Americano’s faction could be the perfect way to give him an overdue call-up.
5. Cruz Del Toro & Joaquin Wilde
While much of the comedy of El Grande Americano and Los Americanos is a result of them being three European dudes playing luchadors, WWE could decide to inject some legitimacy to the group by adding Cruz Del Toro and Joaquin Wilde.
Wilde and Del Toro have been without direction in WWE for quite some time, with most of their appearances coming in AAA rather than Raw or SmackDown.
Even then, December 2025 was the last time Wilde and Del Toro teamed together on AAA TV, so it’s about time WWE does something with the pair.
Whether they don masks, or come as they are, Wilde and Del Toro could become an asset to El Grande Americano going forward.
4. Los Garza
Much like our previous entry, Angel and Berto have been stuck in a rut in WWE for quite some time.
Unlike LWO however, at least Los Garza have been appearing on WWE TV on a regular basis, albeit only to get squashed by Oba Femi or Royce Keys.
Being former AAA Tag Team Champions, Los Garza should really return to the brand for the foreseeable future and an allegiance with El Grande Americano would be a great way for them to make their mark.
With Santos Escobar now gone from WWE, Angel and Berto could follow the star who has all the momentum and aid Americano in his pursuit to become AAA Mega Champion.
3. Grayson Waller
Another WWE star who has been without direction since losing his ally is Grayson Waller.
Waller spent the past year as the unofficial third member of The New Day alongside Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston, and it appeared as if a split between Waller and Kingston was being teased.
However, any plans were thrown out the window when it was confirmed that Woods and Kingston had departed WWE, leaving Waller to fend for himself on Monday Night Raw.
The only match that Waller has had on Raw since then has been a quick defeat to Oba Femi; not a good sign for his future prospects. An allegiance with El Grande Americano would make for an amusing change of direction and Waller certainly has the charisma to pull it off, should WWE go through with it.
2. Josh Briggs
One thing Los Americano’s is undeniably missing right now is size. While Tyler Bate and Pete Dunne are undeniably “big strong boys”, they lack the stature that will strike fear in the hearts of El Grande Americano’s opponents.
Thankfully, down in NXT, there’s an almost 6’8 Josh Briggs that is need of fresh creative direction after five years on the brand.
Briggs has the size and in-ring skills to succeed in WWE, but his chances of making a name for himself on Raw and SmackDown seemingly grow slimmer the longer the company decides to keep him in NXT.
Repackaging Briggs as a new, large addition to Los Amercianos may very well be the best course of action in turning around the 33 year old’s WWE career.
1. Karmen Petrovic
Another star that has been without much to do on WWE NXT TV in 2026 is Karmen Petrovic.
The former champion karate competitor has the unique skillset and look to succeed in WWE, yet she is now three years into her NXT career and seemingly being leapfrogged by others on the brand.
With El Grande Americano yet to recruit a female member to his group, perhaps we could see Petrovic don a mask and take up the fourth spot on his team.
Petrovic would also be nice opponent for American Made’s Ivy Nile; setting up a perfect mixed eight person tag team rivalry, should Chad Gable continue to feud with El Grande Americano beyond this Saturday.
