WWE stars to win first championship on the main roster: Six wrestlers who could be about to win gold on Raw or SmackDown for the first time

It’s fair to say that WWE is currently focusing on building new stars, with numerous NXT call-ups winning gold in 2026, and a first-time Undisputed Champion in Sami Zayn being crowned.

With WWE often being criticised for having the same few stars in the championship picture, we could soon see more stars win their first titles on the main roster.

From recent WWE signees to stars who are the only competitors to have never held gold within their factions, these stars all look poised to have their name etched into the history books.

Here are six WWE stars who could be about to win their first championship on the main roster.

Oba Femi

Oba Femi is currently having one of the best main roster rookie years in WWE history, having been presented as a dominant monster since his Royal Rumble debut in January.

While Femi has achieved a lot since then, including winning the King of the Ring tournament, and winning his series against Brock Lesnar 2-1, he has yet to hold a traditional championship since arriving on Raw. 

With the King of the Ring winner giving up his guaranteed title shot to instead face Lesnar inside Hell in a Cell at SummerSlam, there has been a lot of speculation as to when Femi will win gold.

While Femi is a special attraction without a title around his waist, a championship win feels inevitable for The Ruler.

Bronson Reed

Another dominant star who hasn’t won gold since his NXT days is Bronson Reed, who recently returned from injury at Sunday Night’s Main Event.

Somewhat surprisingly, Reed is the only member of the Vision faction – past or present – who has never held a championship on Raw or SmackDown, with Bron Breakker and Austin Theory currently holding the World Tag Team Championship, and Logan Paul, Maxxine Dupri, and former leader Seth Rollins all holding various titles.

With Reed defeating Roman Reigns at Crown Jewel 2025, the heavyweight star previously called for a rubber match against the World Heavyweight Champion.

Whether it’s the World Heavyweight Title or another championship, we could soon see Bronson Reed bring singles gold back to The Vision.

Jordynne Grace & Ivy Nile

Following reports that there had been creative pitches for Jordynne Grace and Ivy Nile to form a tag-team on WWE TV, Fightful Select noted that sources believe the company’s recent “Iron Built” trademark filing is tied to this team.

While Jordynne Grace’s first appearances for WWE were as TNA Knockouts Champion, neither star has won a championship with the company, on NXT or the main roster.

If the duo do ultimately come together, they’d likely be chasing Fatal Influence, who hold the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship.

While there are a number of teams in the women’s division who could be in line to dethrone Lainey Reid and Fallon Henley, Jordynne Grace and Ivy Nile winning WWE gold together would be a long time coming.

Kyoki

Kyoki – formerly Hiromu Takahashi – skipped NXT completely upon joining WWE, instead aligning with Shinsuke Nakamura on SmackDown.

The duo have a clear road map ahead of them, with Nakamura vowing to take down current WWE Tag Team Champions Tama Tonga and Talla Tonga, even before joining forces with Kyoki.

Nakamura and Kyoki – collectively known as “Bakusai” – faced off against the MFTs on the September 18 SmackDown episode, in a match which ended via disqualification following Haku’s interference.

While there are many other stars in the company for Kyoki to feud with, it looks like his first WWE title win will be in the SmackDown tag-team division.

Je’Von Evans

Pokemon fans will understand the reference when I say that Je’Von Evans feels like Eevee in WWE right now, with numerous options ahead of him in the company.

Instead of having to choose which Eeveelution he wants to be, Evans has to decide which championship record he wants to go after.

In the next few years, Je’Von Evans has the chance to become the youngest world champion and Intercontinental Champion in WWE history, as well as potentially breaking a specific record related to the US Title. 

With Je’Von Evans leaving NXT without having held a traditional championship, the 22 year old’s first title reign in WWE could be one for the history books.
