Looking at the current WWE roster, there are quite a number of tag teams that might be reuniting in the near future.

From those who broke up years ago to the duos who have been on hiatus due to injury, there is a chance for some stars to garner the spotlight through the tag team scene.

Putting their differences and what split them up in the past aside, these pairings can find a new beginning with a reunion in the weeks and months to come.

Here are six WWE tag teams to potentially reunite soon.

7. Finn Balor & Damian Priest

Following WrestleMania 42, it was announced that Finn Balor was heading to Friday Night SmackDown.

Coming off the heels of his Judgment Day stablemates turning on him in March, Balor is faced with his past mistakes on the blue brand.

Back in 2024, Balor betrayed his longtime friend and tag team partner in The Judgment Day, Damian Priest and went on to feud with him for months.

Now that they are estranged, it might take some time, but Balor and Priest can eventually come together and bring their duo back together on SmackDown in a major way.

6. The Vision (Bron Breakker & Bronson Reed)

Following WrestleMania 41 in 2025, Bron Breakker aligned himself with Seth Rollins and Paul Heyman to form The Vision.

One month later, Bronson Reed would become the latest addition to this faction and brought a level of intimidation to the group, especially when paired with Breakker.

The duo of Breakker and Reed felt like an unstoppable force that the WWE tag team division cannot handle even if they tried.

Despite currently being in a pairing with Austin Theory as the World Tag Team Champions, Breakker might want to reunite with Reed in order to bring back their powerful and dominant partnership following his return from injury.

5. The Lucha Brothers (Penta & Rey Fenix)

Penta debuted three months apart in WWE, with Penta arriving in January 2025 and Rey Fenix in April 2025

In January 2025, Penta signed with WWE after spending five years with All Elite Wrestling. Just three months later, Penta’s brother Rey Fenix followed in his footsteps and signed with the promotion as well.

Since both men became part of the WWE roster, there have been a group of fans who have been begging for the company to reunite the Lucha Brothers.

Over the course of their careers, Penta and Fenix have made for one of the best duos in wrestling today and have captured Tag Team Championship gold in almost every promotion they’ve been in, including AEW, TNA Wrestling and Lucha Libre AAA.

Considering how much success they had outside of the company, The Lucha Bros should be a high priority that might revitalize the tag team division moving forward.

4. The Bella Twins (Brie & Nikki Bella)

Ahead of WWE WrestleMania 42, Nikki Bella suffered a serious right ankle injury that sidelined her from in-ring competition at “The Show of Shows.”

In her place, Paige replaced Nikki and teamed with Brie to defeat The Irresistible Forces, Bayley and Lyra Valkyria and Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss to win the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles at WrestleMania 42 Night One.

While Paige and Brie have established themselves as fighting champions, there is no denying the bond The Bella Twins have with one another.

The Bellas reuniting and turning on Paige seems to be inevitable and may just be a matter of when not if.

3. IYO SKY & Asuka

At the WWE Backlash 2026 premium live event, IYO SKY defeated Asuka in a singles match. After the bout, a tearful Asuka embraced SKY and showed respect to her opponent.

Following this PLE, Asuka then appeared on the May 11 episode of Monday Night Raw to officially make amends with SKY and tell her goodbye, passing the torch to her protege in the process.

While it seemed like Asuka may be retiring, “The Empress of Tomorrow” remains under her WWE deal and has stated she will be back after she deals with the personal reasons for her absence.

Whenever it is time for her return, Asuka could join forces with IYO in a tag team, bringing back their Damage CTRL pairing and going after the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships together.

2. Roman Reigns & Seth Rollins

After more than 12 years since his betrayal of The Shield, Seth Rollins is set to challenge Roman Reigns for the World Heavyweight Championship at WWE SummerSlam 2026.

Both men are discussing this bout like it will be their last time in the ring together in a big time singles showdown.

While it may be the end of their in-ring feud, it could open the door for other opportunities for Reigns and Rollins to share the squared circle.

Regardless of who walks out of SummerSlam with the World Heavyweight Title, Reigns and Rollins are going to find their way back together and it just may be as reunited Shield brethren before the end of their individual careers.

1. Sami Zayn & Kevin Owens

Another pair of WWE stars who seem destined to be part of each other’s career one way or another are Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens.

Coming up in Canada and making a name for themselves in places like ROH and PWG, Owens and Zayn rose the ranks and became two of the biggest independent stars in the industry before signing with WWE in the mid-2010s.

Over the course of their time in WWE, Zayn and Owens have been consistent elements in each other’s story, whether it be as fierce rivals or the bestest of friends.

It feels like a perfect time for Zayn to bring Owens back into the fold following his lengthy layoff due to neck surgery and have the two pro wrestling soulmates become a unit once more.
