Adam Copeland is All Elite and made his AEW debut at WrestleDream after a career in WWE as Edge.

Following his debut, Copeland revealed the reason why he chose to leave WWE to join AEW.

His debut would see him come face to face with Christian Cage, Luchasaurus and Nick Wayne, saving Sting and Darby Allin from a further beating.

That footage, at the time of writing, has been viewed 3,167,647 times since it was posted on October 2.

For comparison, the AEW videos on either side of it have been viewed 419,000 times (‘Rated R Superstar’ Adam Copeland joins AEW CEO & GM Tony Khan) and 19,000 times (AEW Pays Tribute to the Dreamer Antonio Inoki.)

Further examples of the popularity of Copeland’s debut can be seen when compared with other show-related videos have been viewed 98,000 times (Swerve Strickland’s Entrance at AEW WrestleDream) and 62,000 times (Darby Allin’s Epic Main Event Entrance at AEW WrestleDream!).

The most popular video on the AEW YouTube channel is the AEW Online Exclusive Cody Rhodes vs Orange Cassidy from October 2019 which has racked up 45 million views.

The majority of YouTube videos sitting around the three million views mark are from at least a year ago.

Copeland’s WWE contract reportedly ended right at the end of September with the report noting he left WWE on good terms and would be welcomed back to WWE if he chose to return.

His AEW debut included the familiar Metalingus track with Beth Phoenix reportedly providing the intro line.
