Despite his career now winding down, legendary AEW play-by-play announcer Jim Ross rightfully earned a WWE Hall Of Fame induction back in 2007.
Among his many commentary partners over the years is Paul Heyman, who he would commentate beside in 2001, including at WWE’s seminal event WrestleMania X7.
While Ross earned his place in the Hall of Fame 16 years ago, he believes that Heyman’s time for an eventual induction is also long-due.
Speaking on the Grilling JR Podcast, Ross would address Heyman’s potential future spot in the Hall of Fame:
“Any time is a good time for Paul Heyman to be inducted because he’s certainly earned those accolades.
“Heyman is Hall of Fame-bound. There is no doubt about that.
“Fingers crossed for Paul and hopefully he gets in and that would be a fun thing for him and the audience of Philadelphia. It wouldn’t surprise me and he’s very deserving.”
As mentioned by Ross, with next year’s WrestleMania 40 taking place in the home of ECW, Philadelphia, an induction may be potentially on the cards.
Despite the stars seemingly aligning for an induction for the Bloodline’s Special Counsel, the man himself previously indicated that he wishes to be inducted into the Hall of Fame after his time on WWE TV has ended.
As for the in-ring side of the WrestleMania 40 equation, a recent report has stated that a major match is ‘on the table’ to headline the event, click here to find out more.
