Former AEW Women’s World Champion Thunder Rosa had her first singles match in over 17 months on tonight’s January 20 AEW Collision.
Engaged in tag team efforts since her in-ring return to television, tonight was Thunder Rosa’s singles return.
Thunder Rosa took on Queen Aminata in a match that saw both women show off their impressive strength.
In the end, Thunder Rosa picked up the victory and told the camera that she was “undeniable” and “unstoppable”.
Outside of backstage interviewer Lexy Nair and ring announcer Dasha, the pair have been the only women on the show as the first hour concludes.
There was also an appearance in a pre-taped backstage interview with Toni Storm as Mariah May stood nearby.
Thunder Rosa had been previously out of action since August 2022 when she was unable to compete due to a back injury.
She recently made her return to in-ring action in her hometown of San Antonio, Texas on December 23, 2023.
She’s been undefeated since her return, winning a tag match, and eight-woman tag match, and now tonight’s singles match.
Elsewhere on tonight’s AEW Collision, Adam Copeland managed to squeak out a victory over Dante Martin after the latter had an impressive showing in the ‘Cope Open’ open challenge.
