AEW Star Set For First TV Match In Over Two Years

An AEW star is set for their first television match in over two years on an upcoming edition of AEW Rampage.

On AEW Rampage there is set to be a fatal-four way match to determine who will get a title shot at Hikaru Shida for the AEW Women’s World Championship.

The match, which will be taped tonight to air Friday, will be Skye Blue vs Willow Nightingale vs Anna Jay vs Abadon, with the winner getting their title match live on Collision this Saturday.

The match marks the first television appearance for Abadon in two years with their last appearance also coming on the Halloween weekend special edition of Rampage, just like it is this time around.

Abadon lost to Britt Baker in a ‘Trick or Treat’ match on October 27, 2021, and we haven’t seen Abadon on Dynamite, Rampage, or Collision, since then, although they did work plenty of Dark/Elevation matches during that time when those shows were still running.

Tonight’s episode of Dynamite featured Hikaru Shida successfully retaining her AEW Women’s World Championship over Ruby Soho, with her celebration interrupted by Timeless Toni Storm.

Toni Storm is seemingly set for a ‘Hollywood Homecoming’ for a title match at AEW Full Gear in Los Angeles next month.

Also, MJF seemingly had pots in every fire as he was spotted in a backstage segment with Samoa Joe (potentially forming a tenuous alliance between the two) and accepted a second match for Full Gear.

He also eventually agreed to defend his title against Kenny Omega this week on Collision.
