WWE star Alexa Bliss has opened up on the influence Bray Wyatt has had on her mindset and career after their partnership.
Back in 2020 during the Thunderdome era, Alexa Bliss and Bray Wyatt formed a partnership on WWE television, with Alexa becoming brainwashed by Bray and becoming his sidekick.
The pairing would come to an end at WrestleMania 37 when Alexa would betray the Fiend against Randy Orton, which ended up being Bray’s final match in WWE before he was released later that year, and his second to last match overall.
Alexa Bliss Opens Up On Influence Of Bray Wyatt
Speaking to Busted Open Radio, Alexa opened up on the influence Bray Wyatt had on her mindset and career.
She said:
“Windham changed my whole outlook on the business. When I was The Goddess persona, I was so focused on delivering promos, making sure that I’m saying the right thing, acting the right thing as a bad guy, ‘What’s the meanest thing I can do right now?’
“And when I partnered up with Windham/Bray, his whole mindset was about creating a universe for this character. And he was so good at it. I always say he was a creative genius.
“It opened my creativity to a-whole-nother level of, ‘Oh my gosh, this character I’m portraying on TV is a living, breathing human, who had a past, who has a future, and what does that look like.’
“I still to this day always watch the documentaries that Bray had me watch to develop the dark Alexa character. I just watched one the other day, I made my friend sit down and watch with me.
“There’s all these things that I still take with me of Windham, and I always try to sprinkle a little bit of Windham with me everywhere I go, especially the last WrestleMania, I did the moth and had the ‘always connected’ on the wings, because my last WrestleMania was with Windham, so I thought it’d be great to, my first WrestleMania back, have a little tribute to Windham to keep that going – and with what better person than Charlotte.”
