AEW Star Apologises To WWE Star Following Collision

AEW Star Apologises To WWE Star Following Collision AEW

A recently returning AEW star has offered his apologies to a member of the WWE roster following the Collision premiere (June 17).

At the conclusion of a hard-fought contest with Buddy Matthews, Andrade El Idolo resorted to taking some inspiration from his wife Charlotte Flair’s arsenal by locking in the 14-time world champion’s figure-eight submission move.

This would be enough to secure the win for Andrade in his first match in nearly ten months, however, he made a point to acknowledge his wife’s role in his victory.

Taking to Twitter afterwards Andrade said:

Thank you very much for being an incredible wife and for all your support and sorry for using your finish  but I wanted to dedicate figure 8 to you but you never told me that it was very difficult to do but it helps to win @MsCharlotteWWE #IMissYou #Mami

Following his victory both Charlotte and Andrade’s father-in-law Ric Flair acknowledged the incredible performance and conveyed their joy at the 33-year-olds long-awaited return.

Unfortunately for Andrade, following his win he was attacked by the House of Black, seemingly seeming up a future angle on Collision.

Elsewhere on the debut episode, CM Punk of course also made his return to the company, delivering both an impassioned and controversial promo as well as securing the win in the main event.

An AEW star has responded to Punk’s comments in his promo with an eyebrow raising statement, to find out more follow this link here.
