An Anoa’i family member not currently in WWE has now reacted to the Bloodline storyline following SummerSlam 2023.
At the August 5 event, Roman Reigns defeated Jey Uso in a Tribal Combat match, retaining both his WWE Undisputed Universal Championship, and his familial title of Tribal Chief.
In the closing moments of the match, Jimmy Uso betrayed Jey, attacking him before leaving the arena on his own.
During the post-show press conference, Paul Heyman indicated that the Bloodline storyline is nowhere near done, stating that they’re at the bottom of the third inning.
Current MLW National Openweight Champion Jacob Fatu has now reiterated this on Twitter, writing:
Bottom of the 3rd inning
For those unfamiliar with Heyman’s metaphor, there are typically nine innings in baseball, so if the Special Counsel is to be believed, we’re only around a third of the way through the Bloodline saga.
This has led to speculation that Jacob Fatu could be set to join WWE, and this major storyline, soon.
Jacob Fatu is notably the first cousin of The Usos and Solo Sikoa, and the first cousin once removed of Roman Reigns.
MLW Boss Court Bauer previously indicated that WWE passed up on signing Jacob Fatu after several tryouts.
Rikishi has since pushed for WWE to hire the Anoa’i family member.
