Sol Ruca wants to get her hands on Becky Lynch, with The Man responding to the challenge ahead of WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event.

Last night’s WWE Raw saw Sol Ruca lay out a challenge to Becky Lynch for the May 23 edition of Saturday Night’s Main Event, after the Women’s Intercontinental Champion mocked her for her loss record since being called up.

With Ruca having seen losses to IYO SKY and Liv Morgan since making her Raw debut, the former Women’s North American Champion was undeterred as she addressed Lynch in the ring last night, laying out a challenge for the title.

Unfortunately, for Ruca, Lynch wouldn’t agree to put the title on the line, belittling the younger star once again, before going on to accept the challenge of a match as a reminder that she is just as able to break a star as she is to make them.

Lynch would head to Twitter to address the challenge from Ruca, doubling down on her opponent’s track record in a post reading:

“So SAD that SUCKER Sol Ruca thinks she has any right to be in the ring with ME , THE GREATEST OF ALL TIME!! She can’t WIN a SINGLE match!!!

“However, MY IC title will continue to be represented MORE than ANY OTHER TITLE because I am FIGHTING CHAMPION!!!!!!! – BTB”

Ruca previously got her hands on Lynch, hitting a Sol Snatcher on the May 4 episode of Raw that went a bit awry and was subsequently edited for social media.

Two Losses Lead to a Big Time Match

Since debuting on WWE Raw on April 20, Sol Ruca has seen two defeats, losing to Liv Morgan on that night, then to IYO SKY on May 11.

While there’s little doubt that Ruca fits the template for a top star of the future, it’s a curious direction to have the former WWE Women’s Speed Champion go toe-to-toe with Big Time Becks at Saturday Night’s Main Event.

At the time of writing, the match card for the upcoming special features five matches, with Becky Lynch vs. Sol Ruca as the only singles match to not feature a championship opportunity. Indeed, the only other non-title match is the six-women tag team match which sees Alexa Bliss, Charlotte Flair & Rhea Ripley take on Jade Cargill, Nia Jax & B-Fab.

A victory for Ruca could potentially set the tone for the feud, with the ‘underdog’ heading to a potential WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship match against Lynch at the future, particularly with Night of Champions taking place on June 27. That said, it’s a story we’ve seen before, with Maxxine Dupri dethroning Lynch for the title in November of last year, only to lose it back to The Man on the January 5 episode of Raw that kicked off 2026.

Lynch walking out of the match with a victory would further cement the idea that Ruca just isn’t good enough to win on Raw, but where does her journey go after this? A reinvention and a new, more intense persona, replacing the sunny disposition? Again, we’ve seen this with Dupri.

Ruca has the potential to become the top main roster star, but it could be a harder hill to climb should she walk away from Saturday Night’s Main Event with a loss to a star as undeniable as Becky Lynch so soon after making her debut.
