Bianca Belair Recalls Hilarious Story Prior To Ladder Match Debut

Bianca Belair is currently over 300 days into her first Raw Women’s Championship reign.

During the reign, Bianca has faced off with many different foes, including Becky Lynch, Alexa Bliss, Asuka and Bayley.

Bianca and Bayley faced off in many different matches, including a Ladder match back at Extreme Rules.

The Ladder match was Bianca’s first time competing in a Ladder match, which naturally came with some pre-match nerves.

Speaking to Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful, Bianca recalled her nerves ahead of the match, including a hilarious story about not being able to find her title.

She said:

“Uhm, it was nerve wrecking. I had never been in a ladder match before, I had never even set up a ladder in the ring. The ladders are a lot heavier than you think.

“But no, I was excited to make history. I’ve made so much history with Bayley, Bayley was one of the first feuds I had coming to onto SmackDown and she introduced me to this crowd. So being able to make history with Bayley was amazing, in Philadelphia as well. It was fun but it was nerve wrecking.

“I remember before the match started I freaked out because I couldn’t find my title. I was like ‘Where’s my title?’ before the entrance and they were like ‘You are in a ladder match.’ I’ve never done this before guys, okay? [laughs]”

Bianca is set to defend the Raw Women’s Championship at WrestleMania 39 against the winner of the women’s Elimination Chamber match next weekend.
