There is a major update on when WWE’s expiring deal with a streaming service ends.
Previous reports stated that WWE content was to be pulled from the streaming service on Saturday (September 24), when the WWE-Hulu deal for Raw and SmackDown next day rights was set to expire.
An update over the weekend revealed that the deal was set to expire on Tuesday, September 27.
PWInsider provided a further update, noting that the expiration date for all the company’s content on Hulu has been pushed back to this coming Friday, September 30.
Content set to leave Hulu includes Raw, SmackDown, NXT, Main Event, Total Divas and Total Bellas.
Discussions between the two sides are still continuing and may still work out, but that remains to be seen.
If the removal of content from Hulu does happen, Peacock and WWE Network will become the sole streaming homes for the company.
We will have further updates on WWE’s expiring streaming deal when they become available.
