Drew McIntyre Fires Another Brutal Shot At CM Punk Injury WWE

WWE Raw star Drew McIntyre has fired another brutal shot at CM Punk ahead of the Best in the World’s injury absence.

As announced in an impassioned and emotional promo on WWE Raw, CM Punk is set to miss WrestleMania 40 with injury after tearing his triceps during the Men’s Royal Rumble match.

Not content with taunting Punk following his gut-wrenching announcement and even attacking his injured arm, McIntyre has continued the barrage on the former AEW star via social media.

After already posting a meme of a himself stood over a gravestone that read: “CM Punk’s WrestleMania Main Event 2024-2024”, McIntyre has now posted some choice song lyrics that echo what he said to Punk’s face prior to attacking him on Raw.

The Scottish Warrior posted the opening lyrics to Meek Mill’s 2011 track ‘Dreams and Nightmares’ which read:

“I used to pray for times like this”

This is obviously a clear reference to McIntyre’s brutal promo on Raw, in which he said that he prayed for Punk’s injury to become a reality.

Prior to being attacked, Punk stated that his WrestleMania main event dream was in fact still alive, but he would firstly be making sure to target McIntyre when he’s fit and healthy.

While this would perhaps suggest that McIntyre is set to stay in WWE past his reported WWE contract expiry post-WrestleMania there has still not yet been any word on a new contract being agreed between the two parties.
