Triple H Surprises Cody Rhodes With Emotional Gift To Open WWE Raw After WrestleMania

To kick off WWE Raw, Paul ‘Triple H’ Levesque welcomed fans to the Raw after WrestleMania and had an emotional gift for new champ Cody Rhodes.

The still very excited (albeit perhaps warmer as the event was indoors) Philadelphia crowd chanted ‘Thank You Hunter’ at him before he noted he came out to thank the fans.

He revealed that ‘by every single metric there is,’ WrestleMania 40 was the ‘biggest WrestleMania ever’ so he was just out to say thank you to the fans.

He recalled that on Saturday to kick off WrestleMania he ushered in a ‘new era’ and would go on to introduce Cody Rhodes as ‘the man to lead us into the new era’.

Cody Rhodes joined Triple H in the ring as the crowd chanted, both ‘Cody!’ and ‘You Deserve It!’ before he was able to speak.

Triple H would go on to show Cody an emotional video which you can see below, and the pair would embrace in the ring.

Nary a dry eye in the house as Rhodes took to the microphone for the first time as Undisputed WWE Universal Champion.
